Transmission

• Hewland NLT transaxle

• 6 speed sequential

• Race spec triple plate clutch

• Flat shift gear change system integrating the new Hewland DGN Inverted dog drive spline

  • The driving spline has a greater circumferential width. This increase gives greater shear strength to both hub and clutch ring. The greater spline width also adds to bending stiffness of the spline mesh, so improving the face contact which reduces sliding friction during gear shifting.

  • The driving spline has a greater radial depth. This gives a greater surface area which results in a lower surface pressure and so less fretting during use. The larger surface area also reduces sliding friction during gear shifting.

  • The clutch ring dogs are narrower circumferentially, which improves the gear shift by both increasing the dog engaging window, and reducing the dog overlap angle. (Also available as an upgrade on existing systems.)

  • Optional traction control
