TEAM BLUE JAMEIRAH TAKE DELIVERY OF THEIR NEW MOSLER SUPER GT600
7th July 2011

Mosler Europe's latest race car, the Super GT600 was yesterday handed over to its owner Rafael Unzurrunzaga of Spain, at Donington Park Race Circuit. Rafael first saw the first version of this car , the Japanese GT300 Mosler, over a year ago and fell in love with the concept.

The car is a space frame Mosler which has allowed for greater scope with enhanced aerodynamics and chassis design for race use.

The car is a first in many ways for Mosler, in that it features primarily the Chevrolet 7 litre LS7 engine, in stock form, but with a new induction and exhaust system and more significantly, installed in the GT300 chassis and bodywork that previously was sent to the Super GT Championship in Japan in the GT300 class. The engine is 600 bhp, as opposed to the 300 bhp Japanese car, hence the name GT600.

Other features are the Motec PDM system, a programmable 'relay and circuit breaker' system, combined with the Motec ADL display and Motec M800 ECU, and OBR touch panel for the switchgear, and and also from Hewland Engineering, the world premiere of Hewlands very latest LWS gearbox. A brand new design utilising a bigger crown wheel and pinion than the long used NLT box used by Mosler for the last 9 years, and its the companys new 'budget but sophisticated' gearbox. The new car also features new wheels from Braid.

Martin Short, CEO of Mosler Europe "Rafael was the driving force behind the specification of this car. It has caused us a number of headaches, with delays of certain advanced parts, but we finally got there and its been well worth it. The new electronic on-board systems have proved to be a great advance on our standard wiring system, and the new Hewland LWS a total revelation. Our version is, for the first time, a paddle shift only version, so no gear lever at all, and its just so slick to use. The new body work is generating impressive downforce, developed using CFD with TotalSim.

Our latest cars have proved to be more than a performance match for significantly higher priced GT1 specification cars, and are very easy to drive, with advanced traction control, Anti-lock brake systems, and electrically adjustable power steering. The aero is planting the car very firmly on the track, and it performs extremely well in wet conditions.

This latest version has turned out to be a really great car, and competitively priced. We are really very proud of it."
